Our product methyl acetate which is a by product from pta (pure terephthalic acid) manufacturing process. as our methly acetate is a by product of pta manufacturing process so it is "technical grade" methyl acetate. it is neutral colorless, flammable liquid with a mild ester like odour, cas no.79-20-9. very high solubility with most common organic solvents. it is highly active oxygenated solvent that dissolves a wide variety of resins including many acrylics, vinyl, epoxies, urethanes, polyesters, phenolices and cellulosics. methyl acetate's fast evaporation rate suggests its use in formulate products such as fast dry industrial coating, air dry automotive refinish paints, aerosol coatings, gravure and flexographic inks, quick dry adhesives, spray applied furniture quotings and nail polish remover,etc. the us envarionmental protestion agency (epa) exempted methyl acetate from federal regulation as a volatile organics compound (voc) effective may 11,1998. methyl acetate thus joins a small group of envaironemntally friendly solvents granted voc exempt status
